Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present an effective method for simulating fixed and mobile wireless network environments based on the OMNeT++ and INET frameworks. For fixed node environments, the StationaryMobility module was employed to construct static topologies, and data transmission scenarios were implemented through communication interface and routing configurations. For mobile node environments, LinearMobility combined with AODV-based dynamic routing was applied to reflect changing network conditions and connectivity characteristics. The examples described in this study are designed to enable performance analysis and validation across diverse network scenarios, providing researchers with practical guidance for constructing experimental environments tailored to their objectives using various modules of the INET framework. This approach allows for precise modeling of wireless network behavior and enhances both the reliability and applicability of simulation-based performance evaluations.
