Abstract

Recently, the use of location-based services such as smartphones, vehicle navigation systems, and wearable devices is increasing rapidly, and interest in location privacy protection is increasing along with the importance of user location information. In particular, places that regularly and regularly request queries may be sensitive personal information, such as a user's home or company. If a third party acquires or steals such information from a user or a service provider (server), it can be abused in various fields. In particular, if the user requests queries continuously in a situation where the user rarely moves, existing studies may have a problem in which the user's location is specified. Therefore, in this paper, we point out the problem of overlapping locations when requesting continuous queries in an environment where the user's movement is low, and propose a UDG technique to improve this. Through experiments, it was proved that the problem of location overlap was improved by increasing the effective range in which the proposed technique can create a dummy compared to the existing technique.
